The Vice President, Public Relations and Media Communications will be responsible for planning, budgeting, executing and measuring the effectiveness of ADP branding, corporate communications and on-line and off-line marketing communications activities worldwide. This is a key leadership role that requires strong cross-functional collaboration within the Marketing team and across the company as well as a strong external focus to position ADP as a thought leader with key industry analysts. This position reports to the SVP, Corporate Marketing & Product Management.
Responsibilities: • Brings a strategic, visionary and milestones mindset to the role. • Creates and implements communications practices that maintain an effective balance between the broad communications objectives of ADP and the specific communications requirements and needs of the operational business units. • Builds strong working relationships with business unit executives and communications teams while providing communications counsel, leadership, guidance and assistance in meeting communications objectives. • Leads definition and positioning of ADP’s Brand by communicating ADP’s corporate positioning and messaging internally and externally, enabling the company to speak with “one voice”. • Leads all Corporate public relations activities and offline / on-line advertising campaigns to increase visibility and reinforce market leadership; provide counsel, guidance and expertise to business units in implementing their campaigns. • Manages the content of corporate website to provide a superior user experience and support sales and marketing efforts. • Ensures strong negotiation and execution of all on-line buys and internet vendor contracts; manages relationships for search providers, as necessary, and all vendors • Creates, implements, tracks, analyzes and optimizes ADP’s paid search marketing campaigns across multiple search engines • Guides allocation of media resources to further develop and maintain brand. • Leads the planning and organizing of corporate crisis management program and process to ensure an effective response to unforeseen problems which may occur. • Measures and reports on the effectiveness and impact of corporate and marketing communications programs. • Provides leadership and day-to-day management for the corporate and marketing communications team.
Reporting Relationships: Supervisor: SVP, Corporate Marketing & Product Management. Directly Supervises: Team of 5 Marketing professionals. Indirectly Supervises: BU PR and communication associates.

QualificationsRequired (Experience, Skills, Academic):
|
• Bachelors Degree; MBA desirable. • Minimum of 10-15 years related experience of progressively more senior and complex marketing communication / management positions, culminating in an executive leadership role. • A keen understanding of how to craft and communicate a compelling message, and the ability to command the respect of – and influence – a wide variety of audiences, both internal and external. • Demonstrated ability leading strategic marketing, branding and program development, communications strategies and quantitative assessment programs. • Experience working with media, ad agencies, interactive firms and public relations companies. • A high degree of comfort working at the senior management level and across different functional groups. • Strategic thinker with broad perspective and, at the same time, display an acute attention to detail supported by strong organizational skills • Outstanding interpersonal, teaming, verbal, presentation and process facilitation skills.
